About Us
Radio Wishing Well was launched in 1982 and currently broadcasts to approximately 500 patients in Trafford General Hospital about 10 miles southwest of Manchester. We broadcast via Patientline internal radio systems.
We have 30 volunteers who help us broadcast, each of theses will work during the day and so our main broadcasts are each evening and during the day at weekends. Everyone at the station is a volunteer and we all have different roles at the station. If you fell like you want to get involved then click on the link in the menu on the right of this page.
Everything we do is centred around the patients and their families: we play their requests, put on special events for them and most importantly we aim to be a “Friend at the bedside“.
